Restoring Hope – 2025 Annual Report

Restoring Hope – 2025 Annual Report

As we bring our 35th anniversary to a close, we are delighted to present our 2025 Annual Report, “Restoring Hope.”  This report highlights the work we have accomplished in the past 35 years, our work this year, and our vision for our next 35 years in the Colorado River Basin.

Inside our 2025 Annual Report, you will learn about the communities we have helped grow water smart through our free workshops in Colorado, California, Arizona, and the U.S./Mexican border cities of Calexico/Mexicali and Douglas/Agua Prieta. In Mexicali we have blossomed along the New River drainage sites; installing parks, green spaces, bird watching towers, and removing tons of garbage from these neighborhoods–improving the conditions for the people of these neighborhoods. Along the Santa Cruz River, we hosted 3 clean-ups removing 7,000 pounds of trash from the Santa Cruz, not including trash removed by the trap we installed in Nogales. Finally, we celebrated! We hosted 3 events in Tucson, Denver, and Mexicali recognizing our partners that have enhanced our work and celebrating these partnerships and accomplishments which have made the last 35 years possible.

Your support has been instrumental in these accomplishments. As we celebrate 35 years, consider making a meaningful gift to continue powering our progress and inspiring positive change. Thank you for being a part of the Sonoran Institute’s journey and mission.
